Core electron spectroscopic studies for 11 iron-based superconductors

چکیده
Electron energy loss near edge spectra (ELNES) has been calculated for two different Fe based superconducting material FeSe and FeTe using density functional theory (DFT). K-edge absorption consist of several features, origins which are thoroughly described in light partial states constituent atoms. Here we have included "core-hole effect" found drastic change spectra. Our results including core hole effect matches very well with experimental X-ray Absorption Near Edge Structure (XANES) available literature.

Spectroscopic Studies of Quasiparticle Low-Energy Excitations in Cuprate and Iron-Based High-Temperature Superconductors
Recent development in the physics of high-temperature superconductivity is reviewed, with special emphasis on the studies of the low-energy excitations of cuprate and iron-based superconductors. For cuprate superconductors, a phenomenology based on coexisting competing orders with superconductivity in the ground state of these doped Mott insulators is shown to provide a consistent account for a...
متن کاملThe electron-pairing mechanism of iron-based superconductors.
The past three years have witnessed the discovery of a series of novel high-temperature superconductors. Trailing behind the cuprates, these iron-based compounds are the second-highest-temperature superconducting material family known to date. Despite the marked differences in the chemical composition, these materials share many properties with the cuprates and offer the hope of finally unveili...
متن کاملMomentum spectrometer for electron-electron coincidence studies on superconductors.
We present a new experimental setup to study electron-electron coincidences from superconducting surfaces. In our approach, electrons emitted from a surface are projected onto a time- and position-sensitive microchannel plate detector with delayline position readout. Electrons that are emitted within 2 π solid angle with respect to the surface are detected in coincidence. The detector used is a...
متن کاملMössbauer study of the '11' iron-based superconductors parent compound Fe(1+x)Te.
(57)Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy was applied to investigate the superconductor parent compound Fe(1+x)Te for x = 0.06, 0.10, 0.14, 0.18 within the temperature range 4.2-300 K. A spin density wave (SDW) within the iron atoms occupying regular tetrahedral sites was observed, with the square root of the mean square amplitude at 4.2 K varying between 9.7 and 15.7 T with increasing x. Three additional ...
متن کاملNanoscale Investigation of New Iron-Based Superconductors
We have successfully synthesized high quality β-FeSe-type iron chalcogenide nanowires (NWs) from annealing thin films prepared by pulse laser deposition method. Three kinds of NWs with nominal composition (FeSe0.9, FeSe0.3Te0.7 and FeTe0.8S0.2) have been prepared and carefully characterized by transmission electron microscope (TEM). Most analyzed NWs reveal good tetragonal structure along the (...
